Very nice store but……
Would of rated a five but due to the racks not being labeled by size was a very hard experience. As I sênior with back problems going through the rack with no size is really really hard to stand there going through it all. It would be a lot easier for staff and customers if the racks were labeled with the sizes. It was disappointing because I could stand that long.
A very simple thing that can make it easier and organized
Thanks
This store always had TONS of stuff to look through. They always have 2 colors off and they always have one color that is 99 cents. I’ve found some amazing deals here over the years, but sometimes you see an item marked way up, you just know it’s going to be there once 99 cent day rolls around. The colors change over on Tuesday I believe maybe Monday. I love that they seemed to have moved to sorting by size in all sections now vs sorting by color. Makes things but easier.
When you step into a Salvation Army, give yourself a round of applause! How precious it really is to be surrounded by THAT MUCH human goodness.
I love this store.
I am a huge supporter of the valiant Salvation Army ethic (check out their website sometime).
I really LOVE the Swansea Salvation Army.
The associates and management here are top shelf. Always ready to share a hearty laugh...and just as ready to hold a hand, lend an ear or be a shoulder to share your less than glistening moments.
And yeah...they do retail, too 🙃🤣.
ALL of the monies from Salvation Army retail go back...into their programs, into their mission... When you shop Salvation Army, you're not just buying.
You're giving.
Five stars just aren't enough for this much wonderful!
This place is bigger than your average Salvation Army, While I only go for the sale items, I am disappointed to see the raising of the cost of some of the clothing. 20.00 for a pair of Carhartt Jeans and 15.00 for a pair of Lucky Brand jeans is absurd. They would be making so much more money if they stopped raising their prices.
Just a heads up - they do NOT hold furniture when purchasing. I had a number of couches and chairs I was going to purchase but unable to since manager refused to hold the items even for an hour until I got a truck. Completely rediculous. Used furniture store in the next town ended up with all my business who was happy to hold the furniture until I could pick it up.
Changed from 3 to 4 stars. Prices aren't as bad as savers has been getting especially with the 3 discount colors and I been finding some pretty good stuff last few times so been :)
Some brands are still really marked up though for some reason but whatever
Refused to sell a jacket to me because the tag was missing, said it was a rule her supervisor made. When I asked who was the supervisor and can I speak to them she claimed to not know who her supervisor was. Never heard of a store not selling something because a tag was missing, so I questioned the policy some more. She then says "I'm not saying 'you's people' removed the tag." Yep. In 2022, someone used the term "You people" to people of color. We walked out and will never go back. Tried calling to talk to the supervisor the same woman mentioned here hung up on me.
I will write that the other members of the staff were nice. However, the woman I’m referring to was extremely rude, combative, and had a few other issues give what I’ve written above. Pretty awful experience. So much for Christian values.
It was okay didn't really find anything except some outlandish prices on a couple pieces of clothing up in the $70 range for a small piece of address
Pretty good, a lil overpriced but that seems to be the usual for thrift stores these days. more clothes would sell if they were sized on the racks and not just organized by color. Totally understand why they do this as it's quicker for the employees and I know they get a lot of donations, but it's very tedious to try and find something that is your size.
